Have you ever felt alone? So lonely that it consumes you? Surrounded by a crowded and still have this overwhelming feeling that you are mentally and psychologically completely alone?
I've felt that. I've been feeling that for the last 3 months. I've been struggling with loneliness on and off for a long time, but lately it's been so consuming that I feel like I'm suffocating. I remember times where I would be crying for hours, looking through the contacts in my phone, desperately trying to find someone to text or call. Someone who would care, someone who I felt comfortable crying on the phone with. Then, closing my phone, believing that everything was falling apart, and I couldn't do anything about it.
Well, this is going to sound really cliche and I'm sure you've heard it a million times before, but YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with; he will never leave you nor forsake you. --Deuteronomy 31:6
I was talking with God a few days ago and he said something to me that hit me kind of hard. He said "Hannah, I know you feel alone, but you have no reason to feel this way. You may loose friends, and people in your life along the way, but I am always here and I want to comfort you". Wow okay.
Loneliness isn't real. Sorry to anyone who thinks differently, but it's not real. It's an illusion put in your mind by Satan to try and isolate you. Make you feel inferior. Yet, whether we like it or not, God will always be with us. He wants to talk to you, hear about your day, hear about your issues, and be your comfort.
God loves you and would never want you to feel like you have no one to turn to. I know exactly what that feels like. I still to this day struggle with this, along with all the rest of my issues. But I just have to remember that he is always there and wants to talk to me. I encourage everyone to do this; Anytime you feel the least bit lonely, start talking with God.Tell him about the boy/girl that you fancy, tell him about the test you think you failed, tell him about the professor or teacher that is ruining your life, and just tell him about the desires of your heart. Of course, even though he already knows everything you're going to tell him, he wants to hear it from you. He loves you, and never leaves you.
